Concerned about a potential Israeli attack, Tehran is seeking assistance from Gulf states, some of which have pledged not to allow Israel to utilize their airspace. Iran has also cautioned Washington that it would respond immediately to any aggression.
In response to rising tensions, the United States is set to quickly deploy the THAAD missile defense system to Israel to help counter possible ballistic missile threats from Iran, as reported by Ynet on Saturday.
This decision comes as Tehran prepares for a likely Israeli retaliation following its recent missile strike on Israel, according to CNN.
Iran is actively engaging in urgent diplomatic talks with neighboring countries to lessen the impact of Israel's anticipated response and to potentially secure protection for its capital. Tehran's anxiety is fueled by doubts regarding the U.S.'s ability to convince Israel not to target key Iranian nuclear or oil facilities.
Washington has been in ongoing discussions with Jerusalem since the Iranian strike, with U.S. officials urging Israel to refrain from attacking strategic sites in Iran, especially with the upcoming U.S. presidential election. In his first conversation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in weeks, President Joe Biden called for a "proportional" response from Israel.
At the same time, U.S. allies in the Gulf, including Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, have assured both Iran and Washington that they will not allow Israel to use their airspace for strikes against Iran. These nations are keen to avoid becoming embroiled in the conflict.
World Bank Report Says Nigeria Facing Worsening Food Crisis Like Yemen, Ethiopia
The World Bank has reported that Nigeria is experiencing a deepening food security crisis, with over one million more people projected to face severe food insecurity in 2024 compared to the previous year.
This information was included in the World Bank's recent Food Security Update Report, which pointed out that countries such as Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Yemen have seen a significant increase in the number of individuals suffering from acute food shortages.

The report also highlighted that 18 countries are facing deteriorating conditions due to factors like escalating conflict and climate-related issues, including droughts. Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Yemen are notable examples, each seeing an increase of over one million people experiencing high levels of food insecurity compared to the previous year.
The report attributes Nigeria's escalating crisis to a combination of climate-related problems and socio-political instability in various regions. It noted that approximately 1.6 million hectares of land in Nigeria have been flooded, including 342,650 hectares of cropland, impacting 685,770 vulnerable individuals. In Mali, 344,000...

Pastor Olumide Emmanuel Says The Tithe Controversy is an Issue for The Unserious Minded People.
Olumide Emmanuel, senior pastor of Calvary Bible Church, believes that tithing debates are wrong and says that everything a believer has belongs to God.
He points out that tithing is an act of worship to acknowledge God as the source of all resources.
For those who face financial difficulties, Emmanuel advises that a true understanding of the purpose of the tithe is essential, noting that the net of 100 percent of the income for fear of poverty is a personal choice.
The cleric said, “As a child of God, everything you have belongs to God—the entire 100 per cent. So, discussing 10 per cent is actually an insult. The 100 per cent belongs to God, and He wants you to be a steward of the resources He has given you. If you have 10 per cent to give to God when 100 per cent belongs to Him, you should understand that this 10 per cent is merely a point of contact”
